AGOGE: 300 March is the ultimate test of grit, strength, and Spartan commitment. This 70+ mile endurance ruck takes participants through ancient Sparta’s unforgiving terrain, pushing both body and mind. With rucks packed for a challenge, participants will face brutal climbs, rugged paths, and landscapes that tested history's greatest warriors.

Starting at the Tomb of Leonidas and crossing the sacred Taygetos Mountains, AGOGE: 300 March takes 300 chosen participants through historic paths and peaks of Sparta. This journey isn’t just a race—it’s an odyssey through Spartan legend and resilience, promising an unforgettable test of endurance in the footsteps of ancient warriors.

This is a truly unique challenge for the few who dare to live by the spirit of ancient Sparta. Only the unbreakable will endure.

Event Details

Entry Fee:

  • US$325 (free entry for Unbreakable Pass holders)

What’s Included:
– Bib, finisher’s medal, gear check in Sparta town
– On-course support (water, nutrition, medical aid)

Limited Access:
– Limited to 300 participants to maintain exclusivity, safety, and a manageable course.

Registration Categories:
– Individual: solo participants
– Team: Small teams (e.g., 2-5 people) allowed, emphasizing teamwork and shared resilience. Team members must stay within a set distance of each other at all times.

Entry Requirements:
In the spirit of the heavy shields carried by Spartan warriors, all participants are required to bring and carry a ruck throughout the event. Minimum weight requirements apply, and will be weighed at event start, with random checks in force.
– Men: Minimum 30 lbs
– Women: Minimum 20 lbs
Medical certificate required, signed by a doctor within the last 12 months, confirming good physical health.

Mandatory Gear:

  1. Ruck with Weight
  2. Hydration System: Minimum 2-liter capacity
  3. Personal First-Aid Kit: Including blister treatment, bandages, and any personal medications
  4. Navigation Tools: Compass and map (provided at start)
  5. Weather Gear: Windproof jacket, insulated clothing layer, and headlamp with extra batteries
  6. Nutrition: Sufficient food supply for the duration; limited on-course support will be provided
  7. Emergency Device: Working cell phone, charged and kept in a waterproof bag
